We get most of our driftwood from the Texas Gulf Coast. All of our wood has been exposed to salt water and should be thoroughly cleaned before using in any aquarium, terrarium, or other  habitat where animals may come in contact with it. We only do a light cleaning of dirt and debris when we find a piece.
